LAMONTRA HAM

LAMONTRA HAM was born, Manhattan raised. Lamontra Ham is a down-to-earth, charismatic, energetic, beacon of fire & truth. He was born in Orangeburg, SC July 30, 1995, and spent some of his early childhood years living in Harlem, NY. At the age of 9, Lamontra was infatuated, inspired, and morally obsessed with punchlines, lyricism, and storytelling. He began writing down lyrics from his favorite Hip hop artists such as “50 Cent”, “Nas” and “2pac”. Lamontra undoubtedly drives to entertain and awe carried forth with him all the way to Orangeburg-Wilkinson HighSchool. During his teen years, he took classes in Music Production, Theatre, & Chorus. He began recording, engineering, and producing his own sound at age 16. At age 18, Lamontra was in the proper stages of carefully starting his solo career. By the age of 20, Lamontra was heavily influenced by the solo careers of Kanye West, Tupac, & Eminem. Growing up in SC & NY transformed Lamontra into a Hip Hop Chameleon, who is open to serenading a diverse audience, and styles in Hip Hop. The songs he produces can fluctuate & blossom from any soil he plants the mic in. Lamontra Ham offers vibes across a variety of Hip Hop genres: Boom Bap, Neo Soul, R&B, Trap, Weed Rap, and Trip Hop. Lamontra Ham’s first single “Ain’t Worth Spending” (released in 2019), had a nice run on local SC radio station “Hot 103.9’s” Exclusively Indie Artists rap playlist.
