Thurgood Jenkins is an American artist and entrepreneur
Early Life
Thurgood Jenkins was born in Dallas, Texas. He then moved to Colorado with family at the age 3. Jenkins moved to Orangeburg, Sc at the age of 10 through therapeutic foster care. He graduated from Orangeburg Wilkinson High in 2005.
Influences
Thurgood has said that his biggest influences in music are Houston native, Devin the Dude, Cypress Hill, and Bone Thugs and Harmony. The songs he is influenced by is, Cypress Hill’s “Hit from the bong”, Devin the Dude’s” Doobie Ashtray” and Bone Thugs-in-Harmony’s “First of the month”.
Target Audience:
Jenkins says his target audience are young adults interested in anime, as well as the Cheech and Chong fanbase.
Praise:
When asked who he gives his praise to musically, Thurgood said, “I was heavily influenced by Devin the Dude and Domo Genesis”.
The Artist’s Vision:
Thurgood feels an individual should be themselves and have fun. Jenkins has said that he has a “stoner soul”.

What should people think of when they hear your music?
“When people hear my music, I want them to think of me, whispering in their ear, telling them to burn one”.
When you are not working, who are you?
“I am a farmer, entrepreneur, father of one, and a mentor”.
When did you start making music?
“I started making music in my 9th grade year of high school”, says Jenkins.
What inspired you to pursue music as a career?
Jenkins’ foster father was a saxophone player. That would spark his curiosity and led him to choose to play an instrument, and later become a rapper.
Is there anyone in your life to keep you going?
“My son keeps me motivated”.
What does music mean to you?
“Music is a means of expression”.
